Marco Anzalone is name that may be somewhat new to many, but his musical history goes back over a decade under his Landmark alias. After going with his real name last year, he is looking to make 2019 even better with releases on Glasgow Underground, Knee Deep In Sound, Terminal M and Criminal Hype over the past year. He is stepping up with a new single for Sonny Fodera’s SOLOTOKO titled “Natural Floor.”
The tune is built around a thumping kick with flying snares and splashing fx on top. Then this funky ass bassline comes in to give the listener a taste of the filter disco that will take over the track. The disco becomes the prominent piece as a female vocal comes out to list the things you left on the floor before her voice becomes chopped up to match the disco flare.
The tune has all of the makings of a classic with its funk, disco and strong bassline. This fits the vibe of a pool or boat party for the summer.
"I made this record in the most natural and flowing way,” explains Anzalone. “Whenever I listen to it, I find a sound that reminds me of my adolescence. It looks magical.”
“Natural Floor” will be released tomorrow, May 3.
