In just under three weeks, Memorial Day Weekend will kick off the unofficial beginning of summer, festival season and white pants. There will be festivals of all types, but dance music really gets after it with three-day celebrations all over the United States. Movement is the most widely known, but new Upstate New York festival Gather Outdoors is coming for that crown with an incredible lineup. Among those who play the event include Jamie xx, Amelie Lens, Maya Jane Coles, Danny Tenaglia, Francesca Lombardo and Matador (Live).

With a nice balance of house and techno, there is a bit for everyone as they lean on some New York DJs to bulk out the lineup. Other names who will perform are James Murphy, Gold Cap, Paco Osuna, Desert Hearts and Gaiser (Live).

The festival is being put on by New York house and techno promoter Teksupport who have done events with all sorts of big names like Carl Cox last year (see photo). This is their five year anniversary and want to do it big with a new festival.

The music will be spread out across three stages over half of the entire site. There will be various camping levels with a regular campsite, members campout and then glamping as well. They have showers on the grounds so you don’t have to smell dank and there is room for RV parking, which if you rent from them, comes with 24 hour concierge service. People in RVs and the campsites will have access to the opening party Friday night. Nearby hotels are also an option.

There will be more than just music at Gather Outdoors. There will be the opportunity take advantage of yoga, meditation, reiki, massages and sound healing. Art from New York artists will be installed throughout the grounds. And since this is an outdoor getaway, there have to be other activities. Gather Outdoors provides them with slides, go-karts, mini-golf, arcades, a batting cage, a rock climbing wall and a mechanical bull.

Gather will take over Holiday Mountain in Monticello, New York, nestled in the Catskills Mountains, on May 25-26. It is about two hours away by car from New York City, give or take some time for traffic. Tickets are on sale now with various packages if you want to go in on glamping or an RV.
