Danish electronic producer and musician Trentemøller is back. It has been almost two years since Anders Trentemøller released music, but the wait is over. Trentemøller has released a new single “Sleeper” that lives up to the name, but in a good way.

The record is a soft ambient record that slowly maneuvers through various elements like a droning guitar, swirling fx and hazy vocals that enter and exit out the back of the record. It starts to build more and more as the track grows in volume only for it to slip away right as a crescendo briefly hits.

It is accompanied by a video of the viewer slowwwlllly traveling across a foggy bridge with a pigeon flapping its wings in the same rhythm as some of the swirling fx.

Trentemøller released his fourth studio album in 2016 titled Fixion. Almost a year later in June 2017, he shared a new single “Hands Down” featuring jennylee. He went quiet on the release front save for a Neil Young cover last year and has been mum about new music. Now we have the first taste. It is unclear if this is the beginning of an album process or not, but keep posted as that gets shared.
