Jeff Mills has announced a new album Moon – The Area Of Influence that will be released on July 19 to commemorate the 50-year anniversary of the moon landing.

The LP will give Mills’ "interpretations of earth's moon and its profound effects on us and the planet.” He puts together vocal samples from inside a NASA control room and futuristic sci-fi beats.

Jeff Mills has been a DJ who been strongly linked to the space. He put together a six-part series with NASA for NTS Radio last year called Jeff Mills: The Outer Limits that featured sounds from space and music that fit the idea. In 2017, he released the EP Lost In Space and subsequently played a few live shows, beginning in Toulouse, France with the Orchestre du Capitole and conductor by Christophe Mangou.

Moon – The Area Of Influence will be released on July 19 via Axis Records. On July 20, Mills will host a live stream on the Axis Records website.
