Laurent Garnier has officially announced the film on the revolution of techno titled Laurent Garnier: Off The Record. The film will cover the revolutionary spirit of techno, its culture and the history, tracing from Detroit to Manchester and elsewhere globally.

The film includes interviews with genre luminaries like Derrick May, Jeff Mills, Carl Cox, Lenny Dee, Pedro Winter and more. The film will look at how techno’s underground culture was able to conquer the world, often through the lens of Garnier’s career. The movie will attempt to answer the question, “now that electro has become the new mainstream, where, what and when will the next musical revolution be?”

Gabin Rivoire, who has filmed Garnier's YEAH Festival! for the past seven years, is directing the film.

The Kickstarter is more symbolic than anything. The goal is only $1, but fans can still donate up to $500 to get access to everything from a private Facebook group, to various pieces of merch and a slot in the final credits (only $8).

Check out the trailer below and no release date has been released. The second part will be filmed starting in September. Estimated delivery of items vary from July 2019 to December 2020.
