Crack open a cold one, kick back in the lounge chair and turn your sound-system up because producers have been getting busy for you ears.

The sun is a herald of many wonderful changes. Women being repulsed by clothing, opportunities to get drunker then you should earlier in the day, but perhaps the greatest blessing is the bountiful offerings of solar infused bass. July was a heavy month full of tools, weapons and general dance-floor shaking devices. Lone set the month off with "Abraxa," we have a beautiful summer garage banger from E & D not to mention sick cuts from Nina Kraviz, The Juan Maclean and FJAAK.

1. LONE - ABRAXAS [ANCIENT ASTRONAUTS]

Lone spares no expense in delivering a splattering of breakbeat infused drama with "Abraxas." The lead single from the three track EP Abraxas eventually evolves into Lone's characteristically starry shimmering synth work, but always rewinds back to the barebones breakbeat madness that launches its ascent, and its what makes this such an exciting track.

2. NINA KRAVIZ - I WANT YOU [TRIP RECORDS]

Oh Nina, what can i say. This cut off her excellent stranno stranno. neobjatno EP is a simple but hypnotizing 135 BPM piece that's avant-garde sensibilities never fail to inspire me.

3. E&D - NOT ENOUGH [FAT CAT RECORDS]

UK garage is a beautiful thing, especially in the summer. No other bass music has harnessed the power and romanticism of RnB like Garage. This cut from E&D is an absolute gem of a garage track, rooted in old school tradition but still possessed of a modern kind of slickness. According to the producer "Not Enough" and its sister track "Runaway" are about heartbreak.

4. VEXXY - NIGHT SHIFT [TERROR RHYTHM]

Vexxy and Jeto bring a blend of grime and wave to Terror Rhythm, this banger is created around that recognizable framework of dirty bassy grime production with Jeto adding layers of spacey synths to give it extra depth. A certified sizzler i'm sure you can agree.

5. JUMPING BACK SLASH - BLUNT BLADES [CLUB YEKE]

South African based Jumping Back Slash has been making quite a name for himself as of late. This first single taken from his and Morena Leraba's ANIMALS EP is different in a very good way. Built around the core repeated shouty stompy samples, it eventually picks up a few elements but it would have still been a banger with the samples on loop for the entirety of it.

6. THE JUAN MACLEAN GET DOWN (WITH MY LOVE) (HNNY REMIX) [DFA RECORDS]

This is the first single from The Juan Maclean’s forthcoming 2xLP, The Brighter The Light, out worldwide on September 20, 2019. In this remix Swedish producer HNNY gives this a already formidable track a five star makeover. Get ready for the drop at 1:50 because its going to move you in more ways then one.

7. FJAAK - TURN IT UP [SPANDAU 20]

One side of the first release on the new their new label, "Turn it Up" is a rave tool that does not pretend to be anything else and is more the richer for it. Paired with NIKK's anticipated banger "Force of Pleasure" make the first release on this label a powerful one.

8. NEED FOR MIRRORS & DRS - FLEEKY [31 RECORDINGS]

This is a hot joint off Need for Mirrors new single "Bobby/Fleeky" the rap over Fleeky is what makes it better then "Bobby" for me, it's catchy, rhythmic and driven by a relentless bassline. At 2:00 it's short but definitely sweet.

9. ROSS FROM FRIENDS - THE REVOLUTION [BRAINFEEDER]

Taken from new "12 Epiphany out on August 16, "The Revolution" is smooth as you like, filled to the brim with soulful vocal samples and a easy going daydreaming vibe that's hard to not be charmed by.

10. PHOTONZ - ANGEL HEART [NAIVE]

The debut EP from Marco Rodriguex, aka Photonz, blends house, techno and drum and bass in seamless fashion to the point where you don't know where one ends and the other begins. "Angel Heart" is a patchwork of dance music history pieced together with love and produced with flawless execution and efficiency.

11. ALI BERGER - SUMP PUMP [SPECTRAL SOUND]

Yes this is probably the only dance track you will ever hear built around the sample vocal of "water powered solar pumps" but that's what makes it such a quirky banger. Taken from Ali Berger's EP out on August 23, this is the title track and surely the stand out.

12. ENEI - WIDOWED [CRITICAL MUSIC]

Taken from July's EP Divided Mode, this is a nasty ripper that evokes memories of dubstep's glory days. Alas those days are long gone but Enei is resurrecting the vibe with "Widowed." And no your parents aren't knocking at your door because your playing it too loud, its part of the track.

13. RIP SWIRL - FILTH [SELF RELEASED]

No frills breakbeat business is the order of the day for RIP Swirl. Uploaded on his Bandcamp last month this does what is says on the tin, which is get people sweaty and shuffling on the dancefloor.

14. MORWELL - EYES ON ME [MORWELL MUSIC]

Taken from Morwell's hardcore inspired Eyes on Me EP this cut has got jungle and breaks written all over it, guided by chopped and screwed vocal samples and bass mutations characteristic of the genre.

15. DJ SEINFELD - LILIUM [YOUNG ETHICS]

DJ Seinfeld is bringing those tropical feel good vibes yet again with new single "Lilium" As always with his music, its honest, emotive and saturated in warmness. A lovely song to soundtrack your wavey romantic nights too.
