Leader in technical blankets, Rumpl has announced two new blankets that will be added to their collection of gear that is made with post-consumer recyclables. To do this, they have launched the new NanoLoftTM Puffy Blanket and given a full redesign to the Original Puffy Blanket.
Each blanket has been built with at least 60 discarded recycled plastic bottles reclaimed and respun into high-quality polyester thread. By the end of 2019, they hope to have used 3,000,000 bottles that would have ended up in landfills. This is vital because the world is facing a recycling crisis.
“The new NanoLoft and Original Puffy are just the beginning, because the use of post-consumer recycled materials in our products reflects our values as a company, as well as what Rumpl fans want to see as we continue to grow and evolve," says Wylie Robinson, Rumpl founder and CEO in a press release. "We’re looking across our product line and will be incorporating recycled materials into several of our new products launching later this year and in early 2020.”
The PCR collection includes the NanoLoft, OG Puffy, Sherpa Puffy, Stuffable Pillow and the Beer Blanket. You can check them out here and see some of their fun colors like a fire fade, purple and more. The only blanket not made from recycled products is the Down Puffy. More PCR products will be released this year.
