Eric Prydz puts on the most ambitious production in electronic music. Using technology as a guide, they have built some of the biggest productions used by DJs anywhere, anytime. Starting with the EPIC shows almost a decade ago and evolving with hologram projections in later iterations, they went above and beyond with EPIC 6.0: Holosphere. The sphere was debuted at Tomorrowland weekend 1 and couldn’t be used for weekend two because the stage roof collapsed.
The Verge went to London to meet with Prydz for a rare interview and to talk to his team about building the sphere that took two years to create. We see how they got the inspiration for the sphere, the unique challenges that had to be overcome to create it and much more. See how this massive production was made.
Also for anyone who posts videos of his shows on YouTube, Prydz is watching.
