Beatsource, the new online music store and streaming service dedicated to open format DJs celebrated the brand's launch in their hometown of LA on Wednesday night. The event was located in an incredible mansion owned by the CEO of Absolut Elyx with stunning views and crafted cocktails by Abosolut's top shelf brand Elyx.
The event was an invite only affair stacked with music industry execs and DJs alike with performances from DJs Kaos, Danny West, Chris Villa, Spider, and A-Trak
Guests included A-Trak, DJ Felli Fel, DJ Revolution, The Stereotypes, Tay James, G.I.O., David Zedeck and Walshy Fire of Major Lazer who came out to celebrate the launch of the brand as well as celebrate the launch of the new The20 podcast which is also hosted by LA's DJ Spider.
Denon DJ and Pioneer DJ were also on hand to showcase their new Beatsource LINK integrations, the new streaming service drops later this year and along with Beatport LINK, is set to change the DJ game forever.
“Beatsource is excited to celebrate the first major step for our brand with our avid supporters, industry colleagues and DJ friends," commented Brian "DJ Quickie" Wong, President of Beatsource and co-founder of DJcity. "There isno better way to launch a music platform than with our favorite DJs playing some good music at this incredible and intimate venue."
The night was capped off with a performance from from A-trak that turned the mansions's living room into a beat infused hot box. Guests actually danced, which is rare scene at these types of industry parties. Good on ya A-trak!
Huge props to the Beatsource crew for putting on such a bonkers launch party, it was a blast all around. Props to Elyx for the cocktails and fantastic staffers, you pour an excellent drink - more please.
We are excited to see more big things from this new brand in the Beatport family and it's especially nice to see the open format DJ coming back so strong. We miss the real DJs and Turntablists that push the limits of this art form!
