After the success of BURKE001 (Bram Stoker / Dracula), Burke is back at it again with another two-track dance-floor destroyer. I've been spinning "Blue Tongued Skink" for nearly a year now and its easily cemented itself as one of my personal favorites from Burke. It's an eerie, minimalist, hybrid production, taking influence from various aspects in both dubstep and grime. Those quick, skippy drum-loops paired with a bubbly rolling sub is exactly my kind of music. We were given the chance to premiere the B side which features a remix from the mighty JLSXND7RS. Have a listen below.

Now the original track from Burke has this quick, speedy feel to it, almost persistent at times, on the flip however, with JLSXND7RS remix he's almost cut out that feeling of urgency and persistence, spreading the drum loop out over the track in a clever way. This has resulted in the entire remix feeling slower and more sluggish, it all adds up to a very spooky remix. Perfect horror movie music in my opinion.

BURKE001 is out November 1 on both digital and vinyl formats. You can pre-order the release here. Out too Burke every time.
