Berlin producer junk-E-cat is gearing up to release his new song “Treature” later this month and we have the premiere for you today weeks early.

The masked producer brings a jazzy element to his music, making horns a prominent feature on his records. He blends a selection of reed instruments with Maschine finger drumming and live looping. The new song “Treature” bridges all of those and brings them together in a new way for junk-E-cat.

“’Treature’ was premiered at Melt Festival this summer. After Four Tet had played the final stage set of the evening, my team and I showed up with our own special kind of stage - my vintage fire truck. Performing on top of the moving vehicle, I lured the people from the festival area to the ‘sleepless floor’- a bit like a new-age pied piper," explains the producer. "After 10 minutes, the power cut out and the music stopped! Just as we fixed the problem, I played the track for the first time and the audience went crazy… After the festival, I just had to go to the studio and capture that feeling. I’m really happy and proud that the track is finally out there. It will always remind me of an incredible experience.”

To keep things even more interesting, he likes to keep things interesting with gigs, like a special fire truck at a festival and making beats really high up in the air (see that below.

“Treature” will be released on November 29 alongside remixes from Mr.LuckyLoop and Carlo.
