Their impressive releases, through top labels like Sony, Atlantic and Stereohype have already conquered the charts of major streaming platforms, amassing millions of streams each month, this duo surely shows no signs of slowing down, planning a new busy schedule filled with remarkable releases and sold-out venues.

We invited EchoStorms to talk more about their background, influences and hopes for the future.

Hello EchoStorms, how are you?

Alive and kicking (mostly kicking)

Can you tell us more about yourself? where are you from, what do you do?

We’re from the UK (that country that changes its Prime Minister more often than a lady-of-the-night changes her undergarments). We spend our time locked in our studio listening to Meat Loaf and making music that for some unfathomable reason people seem to enjoy.

How were you first introduced to music? How did you know this is what you wanted to do?

Our fathers played us acid house on their mouth-organs during our births, it was destiny from then on.

Who are your biggest musical influences?

Spinal Tap.

How would you describe your sound?

Poetry, immersed in a soundscape reminiscent of Skegness town centre on Saturday night at kicking out time.

If someone wants to listen to your music, which track should they listen to first?

Our unreleased bootleg of My Old Man’s A Dustman.

What would you say is your biggest achievement so far?

Having more Spotify streams than Barry from EastEnders.

Who would you like to collaborate with in the future?

Meat Loaf.

Can you tell us a fun fact about yourself?

We’ve never actually eaten Meat Loaf because we’re pescatarian.

What’s next for EchoStorms?

Hopefully, if Santa thinks we’ve been really really good boys and girls, an interview with Philomena Cunk.
