Zivix, leaders in MIDI guitar innovation, today announced the expansion of its Jamstik Studio MIDI Guitar line with an all-new classic headstock design—combining advanced technology with top-quality materials to create a game-changing instrument for guitar enthusiasts and professionals.
“We’re thrilled to expand the Jamstik Studio MIDI Guitar series with this classic headstock design,” said Zivix CEO Ed Cannon. “This new release answers customer requests to put our proprietary technology into a more traditional guitar, rounding out our product line with another great option for guitarists looking for MIDI guitar technology. We can’t wait for musicians to get their hands on it.”
The 22-fret electric guitar has an alder wood body, roasted maple neck and fretboard, hardtail bridge, and locking tuners. The guitar features an HSS pickup configuration, 5- position toggle pickup switching, two tone knobs, 1 volume knob, and a standard 1/4” out for connecting to amps and interfaces.
On the digital side, a precision-mounted hex MIDI pickup sends a signal to powerful onboard processors, which perform algorithmic pitch analysis & MIDI conversion. MIDI- out options include a USB-C to USB-A cable or a 3.5mm TRS-MIDI cable. Users can also connect wirelessly to mobile phones and devices via Bluetooth.

Highlight Features & Specs
- Tracking & MPE Capabilities:
- Ultra-low latency pitch to MIDI conversion: With wired USB or TRS connection, latency ranges from 6 to 15 milliseconds
- Tracking: Advanced algorithms allow the Jamstik to accurately detect and translate your guitar’s nuances and articulations—including polyphonic bends, slides, hammer-ons, pull-offs, tapping, velocity, muting, palm muting, and more. Record guitar audio, track MIDI, or do both simultaneously.
- MPE: The Jamstik’s are the only MIDI guitars on the market that take advantage of MPE (MIDI Polyphonic Expression), utilizing Pitch Bend information to accurately map vibrato and MIDI CC11, Expression to accurately track the physical decay of the guitar string—allowing for an incredibly accurate translation from the analog guitar to digital MIDI. MPE also assigns each guitar string to independent MIDI channels, giving each string its line of communication with your DAW.
