Magnetic Magazine recently premiered a new track titled “Softcastle” by slEdger, the latest musical project from London-based DJ/producer Rob Vision. The track is a unique blend of indie bass/guitar, breaks, deep house, and dubby electronic music that defies easy genre classification. Ben Osbourne from DJ Mag described the track as having enough groove to prevent the aforementioned elements from turning off the listener.

In addition to the original mix, the track has been remixed by two legends in the electronic music world, Nick Warren and Nicolas Rada. Warren, a global clubland and production legend, has been active in the industry since 1988 and is known for his work with Way Out West, The Soundgarden, and Global Underground. Rada, an Argentinian-born DJ and producer working professionally since 2007, has collaborated with Warren extensively.
The remix takes the original’s crisp production and driving beats and adds Warren and Rada’s signature elliptical tones. The resulting track is a dramatic re-imagining of “Softcastle” that can be played anywhere in the world, whether it’s 4am in a club, at a festival, or after hours when the sun has not yet hit the curvature of the earth.
