London-based soulful artist, Latir, has recently released his debut EP titled “Daydreams & Desires”. The project showcases an impressive blend of dreamy jazz, hip hop-inspired drums, and heartwarming vocals that take listeners on a journey through the feeling of being lost in a daydream. The EP’s opening track, “The Rabbit Hole”, highlights electric piano with nostalgic harmonies, while tracks like “Slow Dance (always & forever)” and the album title track, “Daydreams & Desires” that features dreamy arpeggiated electric guitar melodies.
The lead single, “Slow Dance (always & forever)”, transports listeners on a nostalgic time warp with Latir’s longing vocals and guitar rhythms reminiscent of 60’s ballads. The track is another romantic offering from the artist, with a touch of melancholy, further cementing the EP’s dreamy atmosphere. “Daydreams & Desires” is an impressive debut project from Latir, showcasing his unique sound and vision.
Latir tells us, “I’ve always been a dreamer, someone who would rather sit on hills writing poetry about the things I desire whilst watching sunset… I’ve always romanticised things before criticising them, and have always tried to see beauty in everything, even in darker times.
My project ‘Daydreams & Desires’ meets self assessment and self discovery with all the things I love music… From moments found slow dancing or speeding down a neon flooded highway with a loved one… To night lit, red painted drunken escapades with London as the backdrop for all my affairs… To the knowing that I’ve come a long way in my creative journey yet my canvas is still empty… The innocence in desire invoked through my own somewhat poetic experiences.”
