As Modapit gears up to release their debut album, the anticipation for the producer’s bold and diverse electronic music vision grows. The forthcoming LP reflects the deeply collaborative nature of the Modapit brand, created in partnership with filmmakers David Borges and Carlos Perez. Together, they have developed a stark visual aesthetic that complements Modapit’s mind-melding dance sonics and crafted a funeral-rave vibe that defines the artist’s unique approach and detailed world-building.
Modapit’s previous work includes “Falling In Love,” a track that showcases the producer’s ongoing thematic and narrative journey, juxtaposing dark, heavy techno chords and droning basslines with uplifting melodies and lyrics. More recently, they released “Out Of Control,” signaling a transition to a darker, European techno-inspired side of the Modapit project.
Today, Modapit unveils their latest creation: a recorded, gorgeously-stylized DJ set performed at Las Vegas’ creative studio, Red Wall. Directed by David Borges, this 40-minute set highlights Modapit’s rave-fueled DJ skills through mesmerizing light setups and a dynamic assortment of songs. The set features a mix of recent edits (Mau P – “Drugs From Amsterdam [Modapit VIP],” Kx5 – “Bright Lights [Modapit VIP]”) and several unreleased Modapit IDs.
