This past weekend, Angelenos were treated to yet another edition of Paradise in the Park courtesy of brand curator, Jamie Jones in conjunction with local promoters, Future Primitive along with A Club Called Rhonda. A collaboration that paved the way for two days this year and brought it back to its welcome home, Pershing Square. Day One’s festivities were highlighted by a back-to- back set featuring Jamie Jones and his bud, Seth Troxler. While day two featured Euro darlings, SG Lewis, as well as Chloe Caillet. A special treat for those who don’t necessarily have the opportunity to venture across the pond.
Extra, is a full bodied slapper by Jayceeoh and Yussi. The track’s relentless rhythm carries you from drumless interludes with a simple vocal hook into quintessential bass music drops that would fit into DJs set. Dead Man Walking is an absolutely abrasive heater that will put you on the floor. The song is unrelenting from start to finish and is not for laidback listening. The first track of four, on a new EP titled Dead Man Walking Pt 1, starts with a cinematic soundscape to bring you into the EP. However, this is Zomboy we’re talking about. The song flips from the soundscape into a screamo and metal inspired build carrying you into a speaker destroying drop.
Ellis Delta, an emerging bass talent from Bushwick, Brooklyn released his new EP, SBE004, in July on Sound Boy Ent. The lead track, Everythingyagot, is the beginning of an EP that showcases the sub bass artistry that Ellis Delta is known for in the local New York City bass scene. The entire EP should be listened through as Ellis Delta displays his wide capabilities in bass. This track is not for your laptop speakers. Turn it up and enjoy.
Gorkiz and Nufects make their debut on Yomo Records with a superb EP full of deep grooves and atmospheric textures.

Robotized vocals, colorful arps and a wealth of free form effects set the stage for retro acid lines and a tension-filled break to put a cap on this creative gem.
For their 6th release Deep Down welcomes Istanbul producer Hakan Özürün with a beautiful, progressive original remixed by Canada’s own Dimuth K stepping up to the plate to deliver a stunning, after hours dance-floor rendition of the track.
The Soundgarden presents their summer collection of 23 new tracks ranging from organic and progressive house to melodic techno and indie dance. Standing out in the collection is the new original from Kike Roldan & Domingo + entitled “Cardace”.
Selador welcomes Sam Hopgood back to the label for his own feature two track EP. Belgian producer duo Pedro Mercado & Karada created two nice melodic techno tracks for the Bergwacht label, including this strong remix of “Outer” by Rauschhaus.
AH Digital welcomes Albano Bastonero to their label with the EP “Malarino”. His original track is a wonderful deep and dreamy progressive house track. Including this great remix by Hernan Martinez (AR).
