CRi has done it yet again with a mindblowing track, vocals courtesy of fellow Montreal trio Half Moon Run. Combining some of his signature sounds with standout pads, ear-candy, and vocals, this is a song I would love to live in. Soft arps introduce smooth breakbeats and beautifully toned vocals with inflections that flow with the melodies to make this an extremely emotional track.
CRi takes no shame in using many different vocals in this track, something he is somewhat of a newcomer to, albeit evidently very capable at. This reminisces in older pop and alternative music, a taste which is inherently present in all of his music in the form of some retro-inspired synths with a bit of rough flavor.
CRi is one of those artists that made it for himself, by himself, from the ground up, and we are thrilled with everything we’ve heard. The former pizza-delivery driver turned musician gained recognition and praise from the world’s biggest and best-known radio DJs including BBC’s Pete Tong and KCRW’s Jason Bentley, who championed his Initial EP. He became one of the first electronic acts to headline the Montreal Jazz Festival, and has released remixes for big names in the melodic/indie-electronic space including Bob Moses and Lane 8.
Having heard this track just gets us even more excited for his upcoming sophomore album Miracles. Previously, he has toured and played sets across Europe and North America, and more shows are on the books, courtesy of his latest album tour.

With his ever-growing catalogue, CRi is definitely one artist to watch. This infectious sound will be sure to appeal to a diverse audience, and we cannot wait to get our hands on Miracles. We’ll be sure to update when more music drops, and we’re so glad he decided on that career change in Montreal all those years ago!
