There’s an ancient adage, “Music is the universal language.” And in this day and age, it’s becoming harder to discern the innovators from the imitators. Yet, a distinctive voice emerges every so often, reminding us that innovation is far from dead. Enter iSorin’s newest collection of works: the Evolve EP. A long-awaited three-year project, iSorin delivers his opus via vibe.digital, masterfully interweaving classic Wave rhythms with the grittier, cutting-edge pulse of the genre. Traces of his early hip-hop inspirations, from Timbaland to Dr. Dre, meld seamlessly with influences from UK bass music giants like Skream and Burial. Add a dash of the transformative sounds of RL Grime and Seven Lions to the mix, and you get a sleek, reflective, and slightly trippy odyssey.

The journey begins with “Mutate:Evolve:Survive,” a trippy dystopian prelude that unfurls into a mesmerizing kaleidoscope of synths and 808 beats. Following closely is “Quad-Helix,” offering listeners a contemplative respite with its slower tempo and vibrant melodies, starkly contrasting to its predecessor. By reaching “CRISPR – Cas9,” we’re thrust into a cinematic landscape of sweeping arpeggios and intense crescendos. “Side Effects” is where iSorin showcases his talent for world-building, using a haunting vocal sample to transport listeners to a unique post-apocalyptic realm. And just as we’re immersed in this new world, “Atrophy” jolts us back to reality. It’s a bass-heavy anthem, both refreshing and robust, the kind of track that would get a festival crowd roaring.

The EP culminates with a twist: a trance-infused rendition of “iSorin – CRISPR – Cas9 (Noah B Remix).” This finale straddles the balance between the original’s essence and fresh trance undertones. Each track is imbued with its unique identity, carrying the listener through various phases of emotion and discovery. The Evolve EP transcends mere entertainment; it’s a resonant journey, a multi-layered auditory experience that speaks to iSorin’s deep musical craftsmanship.

Having collaborated with the likes of Ravenscoon, SBU, and REMNANT.exe, iSorin is no stranger to the power of musical synergy. Hailing from Milwaukee, WI, and with a producing career spanning almost two decades, he continues to redefine the boundaries of melodic bass music. The Evolve EP is not just an album; it’s a testament to iSorin’s journey as an artist. Dive in, and let the waves of his sound envelop you. This latest work solidifies his standing as a truly visionary artist, marking a momentous occasion in a genre constantly hungry for innovation and authentic expression.

Raised in upstate New York, I was always a big fan of music but never really listened to electronic music. Within the first month of attending Florida State University and meeting some new friends, I was introduced to the rave scene. After seeing Ekali at my first show, I was instantly hooked. Since then, I have dived into every subgenre of electronic music, picked up DJing, and mixed for clubs and different entertainment events in Tallahassee. Once graduating with degrees in marketing and hospitality, I was hired for a sales position. However, I recently decided to leave my sales job to pursue my dream of working in the music industry. Currently, I run Magnetic Magazine's Melodic Techno Charts, along with my role as a PR and marketing specialist for different artists and labels. Some of my favorite artists are REZZ, Kyle Watson, TOBEHONEST, San Pacho, Josh Baker, HUGEL, ARTBAT, Vintage Culture, Ganja White Night, CamelPhat, Green Velvet, Jungle, Milky Chance, Paco Versailles, Franc Moody, and RÜFUS DU SOL. My favorite festivals are Hulaween (by far), EDC Orlando, and all the different venues during Miami Music Week. Outside of music, I love sports (especially hockey, soccer, tennis, basketball, and spike ball), going to the movies, working out, sushi, Chick-fil-A, food in general, and hanging with my dog Maui and my cat Loki. Feel free to reach out to me via my email or on IG, I love expanding my network of friends and business opportunities!
