The last year has been full of high notes for Entel. The producer has been making waves in the electronic music scene, from the release of his debut album ‘Melodies In Harmony’ on Deep State Recordings to shows spanning across North America and London, UK.

Today marks another milestone as he releases the footage from his headlining set at Ope N’ Air 2023. The sold-out event occurred atop the National Veterans Memorial Museum, overlooking the downtown Columbus city skyline—the set features 3 brand-new songs from Entel, and a few personal favorites snuck in throughout.

“What a dream moment playing a hometown headliner earlier in the year. Playing music I wrote in my studio down the street to a sold-out crowd was truly something special. I love the city of Columbus and the passion that comes with the dance community. It’s played such a huge role in the person I am and the music I make. Thanks for sharing this moment with me.” – Entel

Columbus is a vibrant and diverse local music scene. It sees an array of international talent come through, hosting major events such as ‘Lost Lands,’ and ‘Breakaway Music Festival.’ It’s also home to local promotion company ‘Ope Collective,’ the masterminds behind Ope N’ Air.

What Is Ope N’ Air Columbus?

Ope has carved out a unique space in Columbus among the bass music it is typically known for. They’re a company with a primary focus on Tech / Melodic House styles of electronic music.

Ope N’ Air is their premiere event of the year, thrown at the National Veterans Memorial Museum overlooking the city. It’s an impressive event thrown by a team that does so out of a passion for sharing the music they love with dance floors across Columbus. They also host monthly shows featuring guest DJs and their core roster.

Who Is Entel?

Entel is a Progressive House and melodic Techno Producer/DJ from Columbus, Ohio. He has a signature melodic sound that revolves around ethereal and cinematic themes. Over the years, he’s acquired support from industry heavyweights such as Darude, Gabriel & Dresden, and Above & Beyond. The producer also runs his record label imprint, Entelect, focusing on expanding his audio-visual story.

In the last few years, he has supported artists such as Grum, Lane 8, Anamē, Nora En Pure, and others on the road. This show marks a first for a sold-out headlining performance, making the moment even more special in his hometown. The producer doesn’t hold back in this set, showcasing the music he has been working on for the last year, playing to the moment flawlessly.

The performance starts with a new ID from Luke Coulson & Entel. It showcases both producers’ songwriting and stand-out vocals from Luke. It’s a euphoric and cinematic intro that sets a perfect mood for the evening as the sun sets over Columbus.

Entel evolves the set from smoother grooves into a driving progressive house. He ends the set by premiering two new Techno IDs to bring it home. He even fits the last one with the vocals from ‘Where Are You Now’ by John Summit and Hayla, creating a smooth mash-up combined with his material. It’s an electric set that shows the different sides of the producer’s sound while following a beautiful melodic theme.

With a string of singles lined up on his imprint ‘Entelect,’ to end the year, we’re excited to see what this producer has in store. Make sure to head to his YouTube channel to watch this set in full!
