As luscious dub chords enter spring, we present our quarterly dub and ambient techno chart on Magnetic, featuring the latest releases of chosen labels, tracks, and artists around the world, ranging from nature soundscapes to more groovy dubs for the dance floor.

Ishtadi orchestrates the sounds of nature through these delicate soundscapes of yoga releases on danish ambient label ‘nature tales’ — although ambient at his purest form, the deep lower frequencies perceived on this stunning album make it a solid base to transition or develop for dub techno, and echoes some dub ambient sound compositions.

Dub artist George Kostopoulos makes a strong appearance on Russian imprint Piranha Siberia featuring 2 mesmerising dub tracks: OH and Co2. Organic yet moody, the single features 6 singular interpretations from dub artists Alexander Bogdanov, DeeplyBlack, OldSchool Dub Techno producer, Angel Lebailly, FloorFan, and LLLIT.

‘Secret Domain’, a sub label of ‘Hello Strange’, releases dreamy atmospheric music ranging from ambient to dub. “When you feel sad you remember me” is an ode to the more secretive side of dub, flirting on deep soundscapes from nature and echoes from heaven.

Russian artist R.Hz likes to explore darker and moody dub chords as revealed on his latest release on superordinate dub waves. “Dusky chords” take us to an hypnotic journey through the dub universe.

“Space Magnet” released on ‘Crossfade Sounds’ is loyal to the sounds of Lithuanian dub techno, which is mesmerising, atmospheric, and ethereal. This collaboration between 2 heavyweights in the genre, Heavenchord and the recently departed shebuzzz, is both deep and enthralling.

Amsterdam lofi producer Seabra Monkey just released a highly captivating dub track ‘Lia is back’ with excellent bass and darker groove, perfect to dance to.

This 17th digital release of Icelandic imprint of OHM, ‘OHM series’, features 5 celestial trackers from dub artists Tom Drew and Sergey Sapunov aka Sappura–a proper rehab in dub which is both danceable and rejoicing.

Italian artist Monophaze reveals a singular expression of dub techno with 2 songs, including 4 seductive remixes by RE-villa, BLOMAQ, LLLIT, and the Venusian.

This expressive and moody release on ‘Credo’ is aligned to Argentinean artist Gonzalo Villarreal’s vision of dub, who returns with a secretive yet danceable release altered with down tempo dub songs. Some deeply emotional atmospheres interfere with echoish dub pads in a mesmerising way.

This stunning compilation on ‘Cold Tear Records’ highlights 8 iconic artists’ tracks (such as Space Scavengers, Audiokonstruke, Giro Dvasios to name a few)–well suited for chilling, with these atmospheric soundscapes and low key vibrations, flirting with reggae roots in some instances.

Milanese producer Leomar provides a deep yet elusive, dubby EP on dutch imprint ‘spclnch’ perfect for for a groovy summer night, featuring 2 remixes by Martin Jarl and Alexander Bogdanov.

Talented Italian producer Dott. Santafeo has his own view on dub and this singular release on Piranha Siberia ‘Dub Matazz’ seduces us all with distorted vocals and percussive elements rhythmed with a dubby structure.
