While a large portion of techno is pushing the BPMs, plenty of others are taking it deeper and darker. Exhibit A: This month’s chart which is bursting at the seams with enough cavernous techno to fill up your next playlist. A few big names made appearances but the others are the main ones doing the heavy lifting. Such as Polish producer, Deas who is known for his consistency. And Spanish producer, Makuto who grabs the top spot this month on his own imprint, Arketip Discs. Notable favorites for the masses appearing this month are Matt Sassari on Truesoul and Bart Skils on Drumcode. Both very large in true Drumcode fashion.
Both Egbert and Metody Hristov are no strangers to devastating bangers but neither is Michael Klein who took their collaboration. “Connect” and sent it into the stratosphere.
After two compilation appearances on Second State, Turkish producer, Kuvoka returned to the label this year with a full-on, five-track E.P. that included this sinister one that goes down as one of 2022’s best.
