Fusing influences from his African roots and harmonies inspired by his European heritage, Nordic debutant MARSAW invites us to experience the world through his eyes on ‘Underwater Station (Safer),’ the first insight into a larger body of work the visionary electronic artist has been immersed by.

An intricate blend of deep and tropic house, MARSAW casts a net of thumping subs, guttural synth melodies, and mesmerising percussion around some soulful vocals, expertly clipped with a smattering of echo to give the track that deep house feel. The vocal production, and hyper clarity of the piano, juxtaposes the track’s retrospective inspiration, so rooted in personal heritage, giving ‘Underwater Station (Safe)’ a modern feel. MARSAW’s vision for the debut track was to create a gateway to the sonic landscape he will call Paroxysms. Steeped in individuality, MARSAW opens the door to listeners to step inside this aural landscape, to dissect, interpret, and discover the world he is creating.

He added: “I’m not just sharing a song, but extending an invitation to experience the world through my eyes — a world where diversity harmonizes to create something truly exhilarating.”
