Max Essa & Eddie C – Sixth Bridge [Razor-N-Tape]

Max Essa and Eddie C have been friends and collaborators for a long time, and their We Live In The Hills EP will be their first for Razor-N-Tape in March. “Sixth Bridge” is a lovely lo-fi nu-disco track that takes you on a funky nighttime journey, perfect for an evening with friends or perhaps, a lover.

Andy Bach – I Know You Want Me [Sundries]

Andy Bach is burning up the March chart with “I Know That You Want Me”, blending 70s Disco and early 80s Rap/R&B. The female vocal is sultry and the rap is surprising and fun. This track begs for sunnier days, but will certainly brighten our spirits this spring! Check it out on Sundries!

Soul Clap & Ebony Houston – Something In My Heart [Soul Clap Records]

Charles Levine and Eli Goldstein, aka Soul Clap have been preaching the good word of sustainability for some time now, and with their EcoSystemS EP, the duo wants your commitment to the planet as well. “Something In My Heart” is a nice representation of the differing musical influences that pepper this EP. Houston’s vocals are honey-sweet and represent the R&B influence while blending with the Disco/House vibes that Soul Clap is known for.

Dr Packer & Elektrik Disko – My Lovin’ (Elektrik Disko Remix) [Fools Paradise]

“My Lovin’ (Elektrik Disko Remix)” is Australian producers Dr Packer and Elektrik Disko‘s lovechild, born of Evelyn “Champagne” King’s 1981 Soul/R&B track “If You Want My Lovin'”. You will hear elements of the original without the track becoming a cover. The Elektrik Disko remix strips the 80s nostalgia away in favor of a more pure disco vibe. All of the versions will make it easy for you to hit the dancefloor!

Larry Houl & Majuscule – Into The Void feat. Sae [The Disco Express]

While we wait for new music from Jamiroquai, Larry Houl is here to fill the gap with “Into The Void” from his excellent EP of the same name! Houl’s voice is often compared to Jay Kay, but it is unique and has found its home in the French House music community for over a decade. Every track is top-notch on this EP, so I recommend picking it up on The Disco Express now!

NTRIK – Clearing [Independent]

UK-based DJ/Producer NTRIK welcomes us into his vision of a Nu-Disco world via “Clearing”, a woozy, dreamlike mix of House, Disco, and early 90s Ambient. NTRIK has been making music for over 20 years for himself and behind the scenes for others, but now it’s time to spotlight this artist!

Phunque – Feels So Good [Disco Machine Records]

Kute Juergens’s nom de plume is Phunque and “Feels So Good” showcases what a funky Disco track can be! The vocals are sexy and soulful, the bass is pumpin’, and the strings wrap the entire track in silky texture. The track feels nostalgic and modern at the same time. Check it out on Disco Machine Records.

L’Impératrice – Me Da Igual [microqlima]

L’Impératrice is one of the most fun touring bands in the world, so it’s exciting to have new music from them! “Me Da Igual” may sound light and effervescent, but the lyrics are a battle cry for self-love. ‘Since in the end we all become dust/I don’t care about being pretty, I don’t care about being pretty/I don’t play if it’s just to please you’ is the opening lines to the chorus of the song, so know that this band is style and substance!

The Knocks & SOFI TUKKER – One On One (Cerrone Remix) [SOFI TUKKER LLC]

If you can get a Godfather of Disco to remix your track, and his name is Cerrone, you take your shot! The Knocks and SOFI TUKKER‘s “One On One” was already Disco magic, so I thought it would be impossible to make it better, but Cerrone’s finely tuned ear has added even more Disco gloss with sweeping synths and strings in all the right places.

Gianni Bini feat. Alfreda Gerald – Dancing & Grooving (Dave Lee Z Edit) [Groove Culture]

If you like gigantic soul vocals over a firey Disco groove, look no further than Dave Lee‘s edit of Gianni Bini‘s “Dancing & Grooving“! Alfreda Gerald sings her lyrics to the rooftops and Gianni Bini is another artist proving that you can still make Disco with live musicians.

Jocelyn Brown & John Morales – I’m Caught Up (In A One Night Love Affair) (John Morales M+M Main Mix) [Quantize Recordings]

In 1979, a group called Inner Life asked Jocelyn Brown to be the voice on “I’m Caught Up (In A One Night Love Affair)“, with a remix by a young John Morales. Cut to 2024, where Brown and Morales have been lifelong friends and it seemed like the perfect time for a remake of the classic track. The current version is more dancefloor-friendly than the original, and is simply better than the original!

Touch Sensitive – U Want More feat. Telenova [Future Classic]

Touch Sensitive is back with his signature banging funk basslines on “U Want More”, this time with the lovely Nu-Disco vocals of Telenova. The L.A./Sydney-based artist’s music brings sunshine, so if you are feeling gloomy, this track will brighten up your days and nights. Check it out on Future Classics.

Kristof Tigran – The Boogie [Spa In Disco]

The spirit of 1979 is strong with French DJ/producer Kristof Tigran! “The Boogie” is an undeniable booty shaker, reminiscent of the Gap Band and The Brothers Johnson. This track has that early 80s funk vibe that carried dancers from the disco era of the late 70s into the neon-filled 80s.

3kelves – Tides [Toucan Sounds]

3kelves is an up and coming artist to keep your eyes and ears open for! Born in South Korea, this DJ/producer is now San Francisco based and released his first EP on Toucan Sounds. “Tides” is a nice representation of the EP, a mellow, Indie Dance/Nu-Disco vibe. He’s opened for Purple Disco Machine, Chromeo, and SG Lewis, plus won Disclosure‘s remix contest twice, so do yourself a favor and check out his Lucas EP now.

Jack District, Marelua – Essa Menina [Sundries]

Jack District and Marelua‘s “Essa Menina” is a Disco instrumental breath of fresh air. This is poolside relaxation at its finest, a mellow walk on the beach, or just a great way to wind down after a long week. Congas, smooth rhythm guitars, and gentle Latin vibes go a long way to relaxing the mind.
