Jonathan Keith

Jonathan Keith

Jonathan Keith literally cut his teeth on a turntable. A lifelong music junkie, he has over two decades experience working in the record industry, especially with dance music artists. Jonathan was a Billboard DJ from 1994 to 2004 and enjoyed a brief stint as a remixer, leading to one Top 10 mix for German techno pioneers Yello. An opportunity in radio led him down a different path and he became the producer and on-air host of "Planet X" (2000–2006), a weekly syndicated radio program specializing in electronic music. He broke artists like LCD Soundsystem, M.I.A., Goldfrapp, and Sia on U.S. radio. As a broadcaster he conducted hundreds of interviews with a who's who of dance music: Daft Punk, Donna Summer, The Chemical Brothers, Prodigy, The Rapture, Peaches, Gorillaz, Underworld, and many others. In 2007 he moved to Los Angeles and became an artist development consultant. He crafted holistic multi-platform marketing campaigns and helped musical artists navigate the early digital media landscape. Today Jonathan works in content development and production for IPTV outlets. He writes about music history, pop culture, media, and technology.
