The 15 Best House Tracks of April 2019

A two-year old disco tune gets the top honors with a digital re-issue on Classic Music.

Many shades of house music are represented in this month's chart including the piano-house of Leftwing & Kody, the groovy, tech-house of Dosem, and of course, the sweet disco-house of this month's top tune on the chart.

1. "GOT 2 BE LOVED" - SOUL REDUCTIONS [CLASSIC MUSIC COMPANY]

A couple of years ago, this pure, powerhouse disco choon was originally released strictly on vinyl. Two years later, it gets a bigger release for the masses on the very well respected, Classic Music imprint. 

2. "SUNDAYS IN THE SKY" - SKATEBåRD & LAUER PRESENT CRABSTICKS [UNKNOWN TO THE UNKNOWN]

Norwegian producer, Skatebård and Germany's Phillip Lauer get together for a new project they call Crabsticks on the coveted, UTTU imprint. Check the lead tune, "Sundays In The Sky" as featured here as one of the best to hit my eardrums this past month. 

3. "GOOD THINGS" - BLACK LOOPS, NIKOSS & SEVEN DAVIS JR [NEOVINYL]

This international trio consisting of Italy's Black Loops, Australian producer Nikoss, and L.A. based producer, Seven Davis Jr. got in the studio together and created this house music magic titled "Good Things."

4. "I FEEL IT" - LEFTWING : KODY [TOOLROOM]

Leftwing & Kody's newest bomb may just be Toolroom's 2019 response to Weiss' 2018 Summer smasher, "Feel My Needs." It's got the feel-good vocals, the happy piano chords, and that universal appeal which will suit the radio just as much as the club.  

5. "MEETING POINT" - DOSEM [HOUSTRIKE]

Dosem's floor productions always pack of a ton of groove and this newest outing on his own imprint is a shining example of his mastery of the beats.

6. "READY TO FLY" - REBUKE [TRUESOUL]

Dance music's newest shooting star, Rebuke brought three massive tunes for his Truseoul debut. Two big bangers which lie closer to the techno side of things and this snappy, flour on the floor jam that's an easy shoe-in for one of the best of the month.

7. "SWIMMING PLACES (PURPLE DISCO MACHINE RE-WORK)" - JULIEN JABRE [GLITTERBOX]

Julien Jabre's perfect piece of dance music from the Summer of '05 gets a re-work for today's floors courtesy of the man of the moment, Purple Disco Machine.

8. "VOID" - TORSTEN FASSBENDER [PLATIPUS]

Berlin's Torsten Fassbender gets his second EP on the legendary Platipus imprint and the result is three tunes in all including the title track as featured here. It's called "Void" and it's starring arpeggiator is simply out of this world. 

9. "CICADA" - GUY J [LOST & FOUND]

Guy J channels a little bit of Giorgio Moroder on the b-side to his first release of 2019. The tune is titled "Cicada" and it's quite the beauty.

10. "REMIND ME" - SEVEN DAVIS JR., BLACK LOOPS, NIKOSS [NEOVINYL]

For the title track collaboration between this powerhouse trio, the guys churned out a funky house jam with a whole lot of swing.

11. "ACID SOULS" - DAVID BERRIE [HOT CREATIONS]

Minimal and funky is the name of the game on this floor-scorching tune coming from New York's own, David Berrie.

12. "DARK DEVOTION (AGORIA REMIX)" - dOP [dOP ONLY]

dOP penned this one as an ode to their former band member and their French counterpart, Agoria remixed the tune giving it that lovely, melodic vibe. 

13. "MOYO MAMA (JIMPSTER'S DUB)" - SARONDE [BEATING HEART]

The one and only Jimpster lends his remixing expertise to a brand new, mysterious artist who's known mononymously as Saronde. 

14. "BODY FUNK (DOM DOLLA REMIX)" - PURPLE DISCO MACHINE [CLUB SWEAT]

Dom Dolla's remix of Purple Disco Machine's mega-tune, "Body Funk" is downright dirty, dirty, dirty. 

15. "IN NAME ONLY (MOONWALK REMIX)" - QUIVVER, CRISTOPH [SELADOR]

For Selador's 100th release, they've put up six of their most outstanding tunes for remix by some of the industry's best. Including this captivating revision of the 2018 tune, "In Name Only" by progressive heavyweights, Quivver and Cristoph.
