Tycho has announced his new Weather with a tracklist and release date. To help push the official album announcement, he has released the second single from the record “Pink & Blue” featuring Saint Sinner.

The song is a bit different from the Dive, Awake and Epoch trilogy. The airy guitars, synths and percussion are still largely there, but adapted for a bit more of an organic, indie rock template. The instrumental helps to set up Saint Sinner on vocals who sings about a period when she was dating a man and woman, exploring her sexuality.

“The lines, ‘Oh, pink and blue, you know I look good on you,’ originally stemmed from when I was romantically involved with a man and a woman simultaneously, for the first time in my life. It was a defining moment for me. I went from being a young religious kid who thought she would marry a man to a young woman who realized her love for women,” the singer explains.

“I now found myself somewhere in the middle, leaning more closely to women. ‘Pink & Blue’ is a love song to no one, to everyone, and to myself. It’s a sweet reminder to all lovers to hold onto their love with open arms; to be fearless about any type of love and to be fearless about losing their love. Love is never lost.”

For fans that can’t grapple with vocals on a Tycho song, he also shared the instrumental version as well. The instrumental sounds like something you would hear from Tycho normally, but there is clearly some growth from the past three albums.

Weather will be released on July 12 via Mom+Pop / Ninja Tune. The record can be pre-ordered in various bundles that include vinyl, digital and CD versions of the album, plus custom artwork, signed photos and other merch. He previously released "Easy" in April.
