deadmau5 enlists 15 remixes to take on his orchestra album 'Where's The Drop.'

Deadmau5, real name Joel Zimmerman, has unveiled the remix album to his orchestral LP Where’s The Drop, released in 2018. Now titled Here’s The Drop, Zimmerman enlists features 15 different mixes from Pig&Dan, Matt Lange, Spencer Brown, Tinlicker and more.

The cast of producers is largely those who have been a part of the mau5trap family over the years. It sees the triumphant return of Morgan Page back into the fold after deadmau5 released his iconic remix “The Longest Road” a decade ago.

The cast of producers all offer they own take on the track, some keeping a lot of the orchestral elements like Tinlicker’s rework of “luxuria (ov)” or Pig&Dan’s remix of “gula (ov)” and others go for a synth heavy approach like Morgan Page. The beauty of this is that is combines the organic and luxurious feel of his orchestral album and reimagines them into electronic music. Since these songs were originally electronic to begin with, it is quite a journey from original dance production, to orchestral composition and then remixes back into a dance track.
