Caribou has announced his new album Suddenly. Dan Snaith released his first Caribou single in years two months ago without making mention of an album. It seemed obvious he would be releasing an album, especially with a big world tour in 2020, so now we have the confirmation. In addition to the album announcement, Caribou has released a new song “You and I.”

“‘You and I’ was one of the first tracks on the album that I started, and one of the last tracks I finished; it existed in some form or other throughout the whole arc of making the record,” explains Caribou in a statement. “It also captures a lot of what the record, and the title of the album, are about – the track changes suddenly and unpredictably, and it is about a change in my life that happened out of the blue.”

Suddenly will be released on February 28, 2020 via Merge Records. Fans can pre-order / pre-save the album on a variety of platforms here.
