Coloray’s sophomore album, ©, delves deep into the evolving relationship between artists and technology, shedding light on the struggle for attention in the age of social media. Production-wise, © showcases Coloray’s artistic evolution. From the haunting, orchestral tones to explosive breakbeats in tracks like “New Form”, he brilliantly captures the highs and lows of dealing with depression. “Energy” exudes dancefloor energy, exploring spirituality and revolution, while “Hit Record” blurs the lines between content creation and art.

One of our favourite tracks from the album, is the jungle influenced “New Forms”. It’s a track that showcases the versatility of the artist and he’s just returned with a new visual ahead of his performance at this year’s Amsterdam Dance Event, as part of the DGTL showcase. The video delves into the aftermath of a pivotal moment in the artist’s life – an epileptic episode that occurred after a three-day rave during his youth.
This episode marked a significant turning point for Coloray, as it prompted a shift in his focus from partying to music creation and led him to seek therapy for the very first time. “New Forms” as a song underscores the emotional highs and lows associated with depression, emphasizing the growing importance of open conversations about mental health. The release of this music video further accentuates the introspective themes that run throughout the entire album.
