FIRST IMPRESSION
Unboxing this piece, it was immediately clear that a ton of time, effort, and artistic talent was put into this product. Given its minimal quantity, the hand-crafted nature of the Sunshine Garden Beaker is remarkable.
As the pictures show, the bowl resembles a sunflower, with each of the six petals layered symmetrically on each other. The bowl head is the flower bud, patterned with a luminescent-looking yellow background and orange speckles. This was a Christmas gift for my girlfriend, and her favorite part was the ladybug attached to the bowl head.
Another visual element that draws you in is the 3D wrapping around the stem of the piece. Like the bowl, there is an impressive symmetry around it. One of the highlights is the layering of dark green leaves at the bottom, each detailed with little marks that make them even more realistic and visually pleasing. Additionally, The coloring of the butterflies and flowers, reflecting white, lavender, red, and orange, pair seamlessly with the yellow background behind them.

For those who are more focused on the functionality of their pieces, the Sunshine Garden Beaker also checks all the boxes in that department. It was a great surprise to see that the glass was somehow thicker and more durable than it already appeared as in the website photos. The glass is also insanely smooth, and the Empire Smokes logo that is sandblasted into the bottom is a nice touch.
Despite being relatively small (which is expected with highly aesthetic, hand-crafted glassware), the hits were very fluid, and trying not to cough was effortless. This can most likely be accredited to the material of the glass.
An important thing to note is that, due to its size, this piece will have to be cleaned more often than larger water pipes. Fortunately, Empire Smokes has many affordable and efficient glassware cleaning products that can be found HERE.
